Dear Fair Lawn Families, Staff, and Community Members,
Our district closely monitors weather conditions that may impact school operations. Weather-related schedule changes are typically announced through our district notification system by 5:45 AM via email, text, and phone to allow families and staff time to adjust transportation plans. Whenever possible, notifications will be sent the evening before.
Per New Jersey Department of Education requirements, schools must provide at least 4 hours of daily instruction. Our delayed opening and early dismissal schedules are provided below.

(After Care may be canceled or close early due to unexpected district closures)

Important Weather & School Closure Notes:
Phone calls to the Fair Lawn Police Department should be reserved for emergencies. Please do not call FLPD for school updates.
Schools typically remain open whenever possible.
Parents should use their judgment about sending children during inclement weather.
Early dismissals are used in extraordinary circumstances once school is in session.
Please stay informed through these channels and use caution during inclement weather.
