Why do I have to change my password every 90 days?

Q: Why do I have to change my password every 90 days?

A: Although some may consider it an inconvenience, it is an accepted practice to require users of a network to change their passwords every 90 days. Passwords should be complex in order to limit the possibility that they can be guessed (8 characters, include a capital letter and a non-alpha character). Check the strength of your password at Microsoft’s Safety & Security Centre: bit.ly/checkpassword
