All teachers will receive a minimum of one announced observation and one unannounced observation.

How many times will a tenured teacher be observed?

Tenured teachers will be observed 3 times. All tenured teachers will receive one long observation. The length of the remaining two will be at the discretion of the administrator with input from individual teachers or at the request of the teacher. All teachers will receive a minimum of one announced and one unannounced observation.

How will I know that I have an observation request pending?

You will receive an email to your school account that will alert you that a supervisor and/or administrator would like to come in for an observation. You’ll need to log on to www.mylearningplan.com to confirm or reschedule the appointment.

What should I do prior to and after an observation?

Once you an observation date and time, please complete the pre-observation form available in OASYS-My Learning Plan. Complete the form so that your observer has the pertinent details about the class, lesson, etc. After the observation, you’ll review the observation report and meet with the observer to discuss at a post observation conference. An email alert will notify you that an observation report has been completed.
